In the late 1800s US Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles was presented with an engraved and silver plated Serial Number 9 Henry rifle. The Henry Silver Eagle is based on that rifle. The master plate used for production of the Silver Eagle was hand cut based on original photos and hand drawings of the Gideon Welles rifle.
The Silver Eagle is built on the Golden Boy platform. It has a traditional 20" octagonal barrel, and adjustable rear buckhorn sights with brass beaded front sight The receiver is nickel, and the barrel band and butt plate are silver toned.
