The Sako 85 Hunter is designed classically and elegantly but still maintains top class performance at the range or in the field. The 85 Hunter combines a high-grade walnut stock with the superior performance and technology of Sako’s 85 Series rifles. With controlled round feeding, silky smooth bolt travel movement, adjustable trigger and Total Control magazine-latch technology, only some of the amazing benefits incorporated in the new Model 85 Hunter.

The action size is matched to the cartridge featuring mechanical ejection and an integral tapered scope mount rail. Additionally there is controlled feed on all models to ensure reliable cartridge feed to the chamber in all situations. The single-set Trigger pull is adjustable from 1 kg to 2 kg (2 to 4 lbs) and the Safety features a mechanism that allows for the loading and unloading of the rifle with the safety engaged.
The high grade walnut stock features the classic lines and quality finish that premium-rifle owners appreciate. The prestigious antique-style brass inlay on the pistol grip complete the graceful lines of the Sako 85 Hunter. The combination is straight, American style, while the stock sports a classic shadow-line cheek-piece reminiscent of the Safari rifles of the days of yore. The classic checkering pattern of the Hunter provides even more functionality and good looks.
The totally free-floating barrel is cold hammer-forged and furthermore, as with all Sako rifles, the 85 Hunter is tested to shoot 1-inch groups or better at 100 yards or more.
